Color theory (basic theory of color)
Basic color theory
Lesson 1, attributes and relationships of colors 1. Three primary colors: red, yellow, blue (the three primary colors cannot be modulated by other colors) 2. Multiple colors: remove all the colors of the three primary colors, such as orange, grass green, pink, purple, brown, … 3. Contrasting color: the two colors corresponding to the direction of the color circle are contrasting colors; such as: (red_green), (yellow _purple), (orange_blue); 4. Adjacent colors: adjacent colors in the functional area; 5. Warm and cool colors: the upper half circle of the color ring is warm, and the lower half circle is cool; there is no absolute difference between warm and cool colors, But in some cases, the colors are compared with each other, such as: green is warm compared to blue and blue is cool, green is cool compared to yellow and yellow is warm;
Second lesson, common composition forms
The common combination forms are:
Triangle composition, circular composition, square composition, focus Composition and “S” shape composition, etc.
Notes on composition: 1. The composition is balanced to prevent the center of gravity of the composition from being unstable and deviated; 2. The combination of density to prevent the ingredients from being too concentrated or loose; ; With the “scattered” density collocation, the picture is open, relaxed and interrelated. 3. Distinguish between primary and secondary: Primary and secondary are generally reflected in the occupied area and position; generally, the main body will be in the visual center of the picture, and its area is relatively large; if the painting does not distinguish between primary and secondary, it will make people feel very confused.
Lesson 3, Tone
According to its temperature, it can be divided into: cool color and warm color; The difference between warm and cold tones plays an inestimable role in the overall effect and emotional atmosphere of a painting.
Note: For cool and warm colors, it does not mean that contrasting colors should not appear on the screen. On the contrary, the proper use of contrasting color will enhance the visual performance, as long as the contrasting color does not destroy the harmony of the color of the picture, it can be used.
