Start Premiere Pro 2020
Enter Premiere Pro 2020 from the desktop or the Start menu bar. After entering, the interface is as follows:
New project
A A project refers to a premiere file that contains a sequence and related materials, and there is a link relationship between it and the materials it contains, in which some relevant information of the sequence and materials and the data of editing operations are stored. After the new project is created, Premiere will pop up the new project dialog box, where you need to set the general properties of the project (in fact, most of them do not need to be manually set by yourself, just select the system default), in the position and name at the bottom of the dialog box Sets where the project is stored on disk. It is recommended that you choose a large empty disk as a temporary media disk, create a new folder and name the corresponding folder, and then it is more convenient and clean to cache. I created a new folder in F drive documents to store the cache. After the settings are complete, click OK.
Premiere working interface
Working of Premiere Pro 2020 The interface mainly consists of three windows (monitor window, project window, timeline window), several control panels (media browser, information panel, history panel, Youyou.com effect panel, special effects console panel, mixer panel), It consists of main channel level display, toolbox and menu bar. If you need some panels, but they are not available in the interface, you can go to the window menu bar and check the desired facebook page.
My initial working interface is as follows:
Project window
The project window is mainly used to import, store and manage materials. All footage used to edit a movie should be stored in the project window beforehand and then used for editing. The material in the project window can be displayed in two views, list and icon, including the thumbnail, name, format, access point and other information of the material. When there are a lot of materials, you can also classify and rename them to make them clearer.
Monitoring window
The left side is the “material source” monitoring The editor is mainly used for previewing or editing an original material selected in the project window. It’s “Show” on the rightThe monitor is mainly used to preview the edited material (movie) in the timeline window sequence, and it is also the preview window for the final output video effect.
Time axis window
Media Browser
The Media Browser panel allows you to find or browse files on every disk on your computer.
Information panel
The information panel is used to display the project window Information about the selected material in . Include information such as material name, type, size, start and end points.
Effect panel
The effect panel stores Premiere Pro Cc Comes with various audio and video special effects, transition effects and preset effects. You can easily add special effects to various clips in the timeline window.
Control panel
Adding sound to a certain material For video special effects, you need to perform corresponding operations in the effect control panel, and the motion or transparency effects of *** pictures also need to be set here.
Mixer panel
The mixer panel is mainly used To complete various processing and processing of audio materials.
Main channel level panel
The main channel panel is a A panel showing the output volume of the mix channel. (When the volume exceeds the safe range, a red warning will be displayed on the top of the column, and the user can adjust the audio gain in time to avoid damage to the audio equipment.)
Toolbox panel
The toolbox is an important editing tool for video and audio editing, which can complete many special editing operations. track selectorTools, Ripple Editing Tool, Rolling Editing Tool, Rate Zoom Tool, Razor Tool, Stagger Tool, Slide Tool, Pen Tool, Hand Tool, and Zoom Tool.
1) Selection tool (the main function of the selection tool is to select the clips in the track. Click a segment in the track, and the segment is selected. Hold down the shift key and click the segment in the track at the same time Multiple video clips for multiple selection.)
2) Track selection tools include forward track selection tool and backward track selection tool. Clicking a clip in a track with the track selection tool selects both the clicked clip and the clips following it. If you hold down the shift key to click clips in different tracks, all clips that were clicked differently in multiple tracks will be selected. This feature has many video clips on the track, and the overall movement is very convenient. )
3) Speed Scale Tool (Use the Speed Scale Tool to speed up or slow down the clip by dragging the beginning and end of the clip in the track playback speed, thereby shortening or increasing the length of time.)
4) Razor tool (use the razor tool to click on a segment in the track, the click will be cut, and the original segment will be cut into two segments)
Menu Bar
Menu Bar (Premiere Pro 2020) The operations of can be realized by selecting the menu bar commands, all operation commands are contained in these menus and their submenus.

If the work interface is too confusing , please reset the workspace.
Import materials
You can double-click the project window to Import it, or browse in the media browser, or via File and Import.
After importing the material, drag the material to the timeline window.
order
First of all, you need to understand the “framework” the concept of. A frame is a complete image. A video consists of multiple frames. For example, a video with a frame rate of 30 and a length of 1 second consists of 30 complete images played continuously. sequenceThe column is to separate these frames, a sequence of images is a frame, the advantage of this is that it is convenient for precise editing of each frame. We can first create a sequence via File, New and Sequence.
Project-related parameters
We need to set the project sequence parameters. In the pop-up New Sequence dialog box, select different effective presets according to different shooting machines of the video material. For example, there are three types of DV: DV-24p, DV-NT SC, and DV-PAL. Different classifications represent different systems. There are three main television broadcasting systems in the world: PAL, NTSC and SECAM. PAL is used in Germany and China, NTSC is used in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and the United States, and SECAM is used in Russia.
Standard and widescreen screens correspond to “4:3” and “16:9” screen ratios (also known as aspect ratio Compare). 6:9 is mainly used for computer LCD and widescreen TV playback, and 4:3 is mainly used for early CRT TV playback. As HDTV increasingly uses widescreen, the 16:9 aspect ratio is increasingly used for editing. From the analysis of visual perception, the ratio of 16:9 is closer to the golden ratio, and it is more conducive to improving the visual quality. If the aspect ratio of the material is 4:3, and the preset “16:9” is selected during editing, the objects on the screen will become wider, resulting in image distortion. 32kHz and 48kHz are two commonly used sampling rates in the digital audio field. Sampling frequency is a standard for describing the sound quality and timbre of sound files, and it is also a standard for measuring the quality of sound cards and sound files. The higher the sampling frequency, that is, the shorter the sampling interval, the more sound sample data the computer can obtain per unit time, and the more accurate the representation of the sound waveform. Note that once the project is created, some settings cannot be changed!
Timeline Window
In the Timeline window, use the tools in the Toolbox and effects from the Effects window to edit, manipulate and Work on your video.
Add subtitles
With the latest version of Premiere Pro 2020 To change the subtitle to “Old Title”, we had to create a new “Old Title”. Click File-New-Old Caption in the menu bar (for simple subtitle editing, you can use the text tool or press the shortcut key Ctrl T, and the new subtitle window will appear.)

The toolbox on the left contains 20 subtitles and graphics tool buttons, as well as related buttons for arranging and distributing subtitles and graphics. The bottom of the window is the subtitle style, including 22 text styles set by the system. You can also store the text styles you set in the style library. The right side is the subtitle attribute , there are properties, fill, stroke, shadow and other columns for subtitles and graphics settings. In the property bar, users can set font, font size, word spacing, etc. For subtitle text; in the fill bar, users can set color, transparency, Lighting effects, etc.; in the stroke column, you can set the inner and outer strokes of the text; in the “Shadow” column, you can set the color, transparency, angle, distance and size of the text shadow. The lower right corner of the window is the conversion area. You can set the transparency, position, width, height and rotation of the text. At the top of the window is the other tool area, there are some tool buttons for setting subtitle movement or other settings.
B. After we finish setting the subtitle, click to close the subtitle design window, the system will automatically save the subtitle and display it in the project window as a material.
C. Drag the saved subtitle file (material) directly from the project window to the track above the corresponding video material in the timeline window, and then release it.
D. When we need to modify the prepared subtitle, just double-click the subtitle material, reopen the subtitle design window of the subtitle, and modify the subtitle again. The modification is completed Finally, click to close the subtitle design window, and the system will automatically save the modified subtitle.
