“How the Steel Was Tempered” is a book written by the former Soviet writer Nikolai Ostrovsky novel. It was written in 1933. This book is regarded as a treasure by many people, especially the growing teenagers, and the “Paul Spirit” has become a symbol of the times. It reflects the vast history of Soviet Russia from 1915 to 1930, the hard life of the people, and the darkness at the bottom of society. By narrating the growth path of Paul Kochakin, the novel tells people that a person can only defeat himself if he defeats the enemy on the difficult road of revolution.
When I read “How the Steel Was Tempered”, I felt unprecedented ***. It uses Polka Chakin’s life experience as a clue and describes a great feeling of infinite loyalty to revolutionary ideals, which left a deep impression on me. When I read this book for the first time, I was deeply immersed in it.
“Steel burns in the fire and tempers in the high cooling, so it is strong. Our generation has also endured the hard test in the struggle, and learned to never lose heart in life and never lose heart.
Don’t lose friends and resources.” This sentence tells us that even an insignificant grain of sand, made from the cold deep sea, can become a bright pearl. Growing up amidst difficulties and setbacks does not depress us; it adds a touch of brilliance to the path of growth. In the face of these pressures, we must raise our heads, face everything bravely, and not give up. Be steel in the fire, pearls in the deep sea.
“The most precious thing for a person is life. There is only one life for a person. A person’s life should be spent like this: When he looks back on the past, he will not regret it for doing nothing and wasting his time , and I will not feel guilty for my mean and vulgar life.” After reading this paragraph, looking back, I feel that I have left a lot of regrets, even some mistakes that I regret. Now, I understand that life is short, and people should give full play to their unlimited potential in their limited life. Do what you want to do, realize your dreams step by step, and don’t leave regrets in your life. In the future, you don’t have to blame yourself for some past events, and you don’t have to feel sorry for wasting time.
In the novel, whether it is the description of the scenery or the description of the environment, it exaggerates the atmosphere, human psychology, and human experience. Including character description, language description, and psychological activity description, they all highlight the distinctive characteristics of the characters and are full of expressive force. “Life in the city continues as usual, people are bustling in the five small bazaars… These people are rushing to the small bazaars.” This is a description of the newly liberated city, where order has not yet been restored. This metaphor is used to describe the chaos of the city. It is so dark and unsightly, it can be seen that the law and order under the reactionary regime is so corrupt.
This is an autobiographical novel. Praise for being strong and unyielding in the dark, bravely challenging lifespirit of luck. Growth is like a gust of wind, which makes people happy, tired and frightened. Every time we meet, the wind will leave, let us lose our childishness and become a step towards the future. We must be motivated by the “Paulian Spirit”.
Work hard, live up to your youth, have no regrets!
