Why do most leaders lose their temper easily? )
In fact, when you are in the position of the leader of Youyou Resource Network, you will find that although the leader looks cool on the surface, has many practical benefits, and can satisfy your vanity, but others don’t You bow your head and obey your ears. However, being a leader also means getting weaker and weaker. What you are most afraid of is the challenge from your subordinates, because authority is too important. Once it cannot be maintained, it is difficult to obtain the obedience of others. So, if you are a person who doesn’t have much confidence in yourself, you will easily suspect that there are people around who want to kill you. It’s like being in an unfamiliar environment with all eyes on you and not necessarily having to shoot you in the dark. So, you are restless, and the restlessness comes from fear.
Tell me an example from my own experience.
Before working overseas, I worked as a business manager and project manager. I assist him, not his subordinates. There were five of us, and the other three were his subordinates. But as a man, he is not very confident in himself, urgently needs to be praised, and eager to be recognized, so he deliberately put on a pose to embolden himself. I forgot to bring it to him when I went out to buy a mobile phone card. He went crazy with me in public and yelled at me: “You just don’t want me to communicate with the headquarters on purpose, bypass me and communicate directly. Do you want to be the second head?” The question is , I was originally his second in command! I never thought he would have such a big reaction, I was overwhelmed by such a sudden action. But as I said, I am not his subordinate! I was scared, but also out of anger. Subconsciously, I grabbed the chair with my hands and tried to throw it over his head. But fortunately, at the critical moment, my rationality told me that I was here to make money, not to kill, so I held back. After all, I have to consider the harmony of the whole team. Otherwise, if there is internal struggle, then the five people cannot get along, and the project cannot be completed.
There is one more interesting thing. At that time, it was stipulated that I should leave the hotel at 7:00 every morning to go to work on site, so I had to have lunch at 6:30 in the morning. After eating, we quickly *** at the door and set off by car. And this rule is also set by the project manager. But one morning, he was the only one who got up late and didn’t get to the cafeteria until 6:50. Seeing that we had finished eating, he was furious again, and said to one of his subordinates: “Haven’t you heard the story of Kong Rong making pears?” He also blamed us for not waiting for him to eat breakfast – we were all confused by his question at a loss.
Actually, thinking about it afterwards, what he hated was that he was late, but he wanted to protect his own face, so he had to take down his subordinates to vent his anger. What he is afraid of is that he feels that we don’t respect him, and what he is even more afraid of is that we will kill him in conjunction with Youyou Resources. He always wants to control everything, but always feels powerless. In addition, he is not confident in himself, so he is always suspicious. He always felt that the people around him would always look down on him, causing him to lose his authority, or they would directly rebel and kill him, threatening his status.
Talk about another case. In a foreign company before, there was a technical director and the boss *** meeting to communicate. Because the boss is the business backer of Netscape, not the technical supporter.Because of the technical background, we can only talk about it from a macro perspective. In his eyes, this tech leader looks down on anyone who doesn’t understand technology. Besides, his EQ is really not high. He used the opening remarks of “I tell you, because you don’t understand technology” with the boss many times at the meeting. All of us who attended the meeting were sweating for him. This technical leader always said this when answering the boss’s questions, until the boss’s self-esteem, face, and authority were deeply stabbed, and finally got angry in *** and said: “I don’t understand technology, so I hired you, otherwise What else can you do?” The trouble is, the technical leader doesn’t know yet, so he just stabbed the boss with his catchphrase and retorted, “I said you don’t understand technology. What’s wrong with that? But you are Don’t understand anything?” The result of that exchange can be imagined. The next day, when he returned to the company, the boss fired him. This technical leader doesn’t really want to despise anyone, but his way of speaking seriously threatens the boss’s authority and image among employees. He has to make an action to prove to other employees that although he does not understand technology, he has power. Only in this way can he manage the entire team well. After all, this is what he values most. Technicians can recruit again, of course they can only kill him.
So in the final analysis, the more you are a leader, the higher your position, the more you care about authority and respect for others, these illusory things. The slightest inadvertent movement, any signal he took to be disobedient, whether intentional or not, made him restless. As I said, it stems from a fear that others will not recognize my authority, so that I can diverge my thinking and imagine that others will kill me.
People, the higher you go, the more vulnerable you are. This is the same as the richer a person is, the more afraid of death he is.
People are really poor ants. The most important thing is to recognize yourself. Self-knowledge is really hard. To be a good leader, it is really important to have strong self-confidence and a strong heart!
But after all, mortals account for 90%, most of them are driven to the shelves, and generals are only in leadership positions. A truly great leader happens once in a millennium.
In reality, if I wait for mortals, I will bear it.
