The three elements of the map (map three elements)
The basic content of the map is called the map element. It includes mathematical elements, geographical elements and sorting elements (also known as auxiliary elements), so it is also called the “three elements” of the map of local tourism resources.
(l) Mathematical elements refer to the mathematical basis of the map. Such as map projection, scale, control points, coordinate grid, elevation system, map framing, etc. These contents are the basis for determining the scope and position of the frame and controlling other contents. It ensures the accuracy of the map, provides a reliable basis for the measurement of points, distances, lengths, and areas of the high-quality resource network on the map, and ensures the splicing and use of multiple maps in a wide range. Both military and economic construction are inseparable from mathematical elements.
(2) Geographical elements refer to natural and social phenomena with geographical location and distribution characteristics represented on the map. Therefore, it can be divided into natural elements (such as hydrology, landform, soil quality, vegetation) and socioeconomic elements (such as residential areas, traffic lines, administrative boundaries, etc.). ).
(3) Organize elements mainly refer to content that is easy to read and use pictures. For example: map name, map number, legend and map data description, and various characters and numbers in the map, etc.
